Our research in Liverpool
Liverpool is the home of one of our new Cancer Research UK Centres. Bringing together Cancer Research UK scientists with other researchers and medical staff in the city, the Centre will focus on pancreatic, head and neck, and blood cancers. It will also concentrate on pioneering the latest techniques in surgery, radiotherapy and the treatment of children's cancers.
Cancer Research UK also funds the clinical trials work of the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) at the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. The group co-ordinates the care of virtually all the UK’s children with cancer, ensuring they receive the most up-to-date treatments.
