This page presents leukaemia survival statistics including one year, five year and ten year survival and also survival by age at diagnosis.
Leukaemia survival rates
Figure 3.1 shows the one-year age-standardised survival rates for leukaemia patients. Rates have almost doubled since the early 1970s.

Five-year survival rates for leukaemia patients are shown in Figure 3.2. Rates have more than tripled since the early 1970s.

Figure 3.3 shows the ten-year survival rates for leukaemia patients.The latest rates show that around a third (33%) of leukaemia patients survive their disease beyond ten years, compared to less than 10% in the early 1970s.

Leukaemia survival rates by age at diagnosis are shown in Figure 3.4.
