Statistics on 27 common types of cancer
This section provides comprehensive statistical information for 27 of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the UK. This section is expanded periodically. The latest cancer statistics available here for the UK are:
- Incidence = 2008 - Incidence data for 2009 will be available from the next month.
- Mortality = 2009 - The Breast, Bowel, Cervix, Lung, Prostate and Skin cancer mortality pages are currently being updated with 2009 mortality data. Information is available for all cancers combined for 2009 mortality data. For other cancer sites, mortality 2008 data is presented. However, top line 2009 mortality statistics for most cancer sites are available in the Key Facts or the Summary Tables. Mortality for 2010 will be available in the Spring and we will updating all the mortality pages with this.
