Cancer Awareness Roadshow

Cancer Research UK's Cancer Awareness Roadshow is at the heart of the charity's work to enable and encourage people to make informed choices that will reduce their risk of cancer and increase their chances of early detection.

Our mobile units and specially trained nurses take our health messages to some of the UK's most deprived communities. We are focusing our efforts where the need is greatest and where we can make the greatest impact in beating cancer.

Every year we are reaching thousands more people. Since launching in 2006, in partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation, the Roadshow has seen more than 200,000 visitors in over 200 cities and towns across the UK. And we have worked alongside over 750 health workers to help us signpost people to appropriate local services.

We welcome anyone on board to find out how leading a healthier life can help reduce the risk of cancer, and why it’s important to spot cancer early and attend screening when invited.

talk to one of our nurses
pick up our free cancer awareness resources, which include information on how lifestyles affect the risk of different types of cancer, spotting cancer early, being Sunsmart and ten top tips for weight loss
take a smokerlyzer test to measure the carbon monoxide levels in your lungs
take a Body Mass Index (BMI) test to find out whether your weight is within the healthy range
find out about local health promotion services
