Visiting the Roadshow

When can I come on-board the Cancer Awareness Roadshow?

The Roadshow will be open from Tuesday - Friday between 11am-5pm. Please check our Google Map itinerary to find out when the Roadshow will be in your local area and to check specific opening times for special events.

What can I do on-board?

While on board you can:

talk to a nurse
pick up our written cancer prevention and early detection resources for information on specific types of cancer, preventing cancer, being SunSmart and ten top tips for weight loss
take a smokerlyzer test
take a BMI test to find out whether your weight is within the healthy range
find out about local healthier lifestyle programmes

Can I make a booking to see the on-board nurse?

Consultations with the nurse are held on a first-come-first-serve basis. We do however try to ensure that everyone who wants to see the nurse is able to.

Can the Roadshow accommodate visits from large groups?

We are happy to welcome large groups onto the Roadshow but it is helpful for us to find out in advance if you are intending to pay us a visit! Please email cancerawarenessroadshow@cancer.org.uk with details of the size of your group and estimated date and time of arrival.

I am a local health worker. Can I help out on the Cancer Awareness Roadshow?

We welcome interest from health workers who are able to give up some time to support us on the Roadshow. Please email cancerawarenessroadshow@cancer.org.uk to register your interest or call 07917 146155.
