This December Cancer Research UK is using TV, radio and print adverts to talk to people about the poisons in cigarette smoke.
On this page you can watch our TV adverts, listen to our radio adverts and take a look at our posters.
Our adverts feature the investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre interviewing people who work with chemicals. The safety precautions necessary for handling these chemicals show how dangerous they are. MacIntyre then reveals that these chemicals are also present in cigarette smoke.
Our web adverts highlight the fact that ordinary smokers are in fact inhaling dangerous chemicals like hydrogen cyanide and benzene.
You may have seen our print adverts in the papers, at bus stops or on the back of pub washroom doors. They show sinister-looking cigarette smoke and explain more about the chemicals it contains.
To see these adverts you will need Adobe’s Acrobat Reader. You can download Acrobat Reader free of charge from the Adobe website. Visit Access Adobe to find out how people with visual disabilities can get the most from this software.
We have also produced a small foldout z-card to accompany our adverts. To order this z-card please:
