Little Stars Party

Twenty brave children from all over the UK were the special guests at the 2011 Cancer Research UK Little Star Awards party at London Zoo.

The event, held in partnership with TK Maxx, brought together families to represent all the 219 children nominated for a Little Star Award during the 2010-11 campaign.

Winner of I'm A Celebrity and host of Sing If You Can Stacey Solomon, Dancing on Ice finalist Laura Hamilton and Cbeebies presenter Cerrie Burnell all came along to the zoo to meet the children.

EastEnders actress Lorna Fitzgerald (who plays Abi Branning) and ex-Hollyoaks actresses Roxanne McKee and Loui Batley also attended, as well as Hannah Tointon, from The Inbetweeners, to help make it a truly memorable day.

There were even special appearances and performances by children's TV favourite Peppa Pig and entertainer Safari Sam. The Little Stars also got the chance to enjoy crafts and competitions, and were able to pet zoo animals including a llama, a skunk and a kinkajou.
