TK Maxx logoTK Maxx is proud to be the partner of Cancer Research UK’s Little Star Awards for the second year running. Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx believe each and every child who confronts cancer is extra special.

TK Maxx has been a partner of Cancer Research UK since 2004, and to date have raised a staggering £7 million through stock donation, of which £3.2 million was raised to fund groundbreaking research into childhood cancers.

TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK will be joining forces again to run another spring clothing collection campaign. In March and April 2010, TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK shops all over the country will ask customers and supporters to donate their quality unwanted clothes and accessories to help beat childhood cancers.

Paul Farthing, Director of High Value Relationships at Cancer Research UK said: “The Little Stars Awards - now in their seventh year - allow us to recognise the unique challenges faced by youngsters diagnosed with cancer and salute their courage. Through the vital support of TK Maxx we are able to give the first 300 Little Stars a £50 TK Maxx voucher for a special treat.Update

In June 2009, 23 Little Stars and their families came to London as regional ambassadors for a party at London Zoo. They celebrated with pop act Same Difference and got the chance to meet many of the zoo’s animals. Thanks to the support from TK Maxx we continue to fund further essential work into helping to beat childhood cancers.
