Consultations

Consultations: Choosing Health

Name: Choosing Health
Source: Department of Health
Date: May 2004

In Spring 2004, the Department of Health published a national public consultation on public health, covering important issues such as how to reduce smoking and how to tackle obesity and nutrition.

Cancer Research UK responded to this consultation, urging the Government to take a range of steps to improve public health in the UK. Our recommendations ranged from implementing a national ban on smoking in public places, to improving food labelling, and providing sufficient funding for long-term health information and education campaigns.

For more information, please read our consultation response in full.
