Like many other charities, without the dedication and support of our volunteers we would not be able to run our major fundraising events.

Cancer Research UK is supported by around 45,000 volunteers of all ages in a diverse range of roles. This includes Trustees, fundraisers, event volunteers, interns on our award winning internship scheme and around 17,000 people helping in our 600 shops across the UK.

We welcome the main political parties' aim to encourage volunteering, for example the Government's National Citizen Service scheme and plans to encourage Employer Supported Volunteering.
