Cancer Research UK's 2008 manifesto: 'How you can help us beat cancer'

Cancer Research UK have produced 'How you can help us beat cancer', a document which sets out our proposals to the political parties for manifesto commitments we would like to see them make in the run up to the next general election about cancer and science.

  • Providing access to world-class cancer services and treatment
  • Detecting cancer earlier
  • Preventing more cancers
  • Tackling the unfairness of cancer inequalities
  • Protecting the UK's position at the forefront of international biomedical research

Scottish Manifesto

Cancer Research UK has launched its manifesto for Scotland in advance of the elections on 3 May. The manifesto was been sent to all parliamentary candidates calling on them to commit to making cancer a priority in the next Scottish Parliament. The document details a dozen pledges in four key areas: planning for the future; cancer prevention and public health; improving cancer treatment; and science, research and technology. We will be working with MSPs throughout this session to ensure that cancer remains a priority.

The manifesto is available for download.
