Events in Wales
Cancer Research UK works with Assembly Members (AMs) in the National Assembly and in their constituencies. Through our programme of events, AMs meet with and hear the views of cancer patients, volunteers, fundraisers, doctors and scientists.
They do this by attending the annual Wales Cancer Conference or being active in the community at a fundraising event such as Race for Life, or attending a themed meeting to focus on the awareness of one cancer, such as the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We hold fringe meetings at the four main political party conferences where we give our views on cancer prevention and research issues to AMs, MPs, local councillors and other political influencers.
