Cancer Research UK funds the work of 3,500 scientists, doctors and nurses in over 35 towns around the UK. We have recently been hosting a range of visits across the UK to enable parliamentarians to see first-hand the research which is undertaken by our scientists in their region.

One of our biggest developments is the new Cambridge Research Institute (pictured above) which is core-funded by Cancer Research UK and aims to bring the scientific resources of Cambridge to bear on the practical problems of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer.
In partnership with the University of Cambridge, we are working to create one of the largest cancer research facilities in Europe on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site. More than 4000 cancer patients pass through the doors of Addenbrooke’s Hospital every year, which provides an ideal location in which to bring together cancer doctors and scientists.Cardiff
