MPs added their support to the Screening Matters campaign at the parliamentary launch of the campaign in Westminster. The event was hosted by Ian Gibson MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer, to highlight the importance of the bowel, breast and cervical cancer screening programmes.

Screening Matters is a campaign co-ordinated by Cancer Research UK in partnership with Beating Bowel Cancer, the Bobby Moore Fund, Bowel Cancer UK, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Campaign, Breast Cancer Care and Jo’s Trust.

Screening Matters because it saves lives, but by working together we could save even more. Our campaign highlights the particular areas where we would like the Government to take most urgent action.

So far over 110,000 people have pledged their support for the campaign, and over 17,000 e-mails have now been sent by supporters to MPs, MSPs and AMs. You can also take the campaign direct to politicians by sending a campaign e-mail.
