Core News & Resources teamNicola O’ConnorWeb ManagerNicola manages the News and Resources website, overseeing content development, evaluation and new initiatives. She spent many years working as a cancer researcher and holds a postgraduate degree in science communication. Henry ScowcroftSenior Web Officer, Section Editor (Cancer & Research)Henry has a background in biological sciences and science communication. He works with Nicola and Jo to oversee the development of the site, and is also the section editor for the Cancer & Research section. Jo AthertonWeb EditorJo is the primary contact for website issues, projects and marketing. She works with the rest of the team to develop content, establish editorial standards to communicate to our audiences effectively and to improve usability. |

Joanna Peak
Content Editor (Cancer & Research)Joanna oversees the content for the ‘Research Highlights’ section of Cancer and Research. She has recently joined the Science Information team within Cancer Research UK after completing a PhD in cancer biology.
Ed Yong
Section Editor (Healthy Living)Ed has a degree in Natural Sciences and experience in scientific research. He manages and writes for the Healthy Living section of the site, and makes sure that it is based on the best and most up-to-date evidence.
Zoe Norridge
Content Editor (Healthy Living)Zoe is a freelance health writer and editor who looks after the mouth cancer and SunSmart websites. She previously edited the ‘healthy living’ section and has a background in health promotion. When Zoe isn’t working for Cancer Research UK she is researching her PhD on ‘Pain Narratives in Contemporary African Literature'.
Jo Meadows
Section Editor (CancerStats)Jo manages the update of incidence, mortality and survival data in the CancerStats section. She’s also responsible for the section’s design and development.
Michelle Piesley
Content Editor (CancerStats)Michelle works with Jo on the CancerStats section, updating newly released incidence, mortality and survival data. She assists with implementing new ideas to improve and update the section. She is also responsible for the CancerStats products in the Our Publications section.
Michael Regnier
Section Editor (News)Michael studied natural sciences and science communication, and is now Cancer Research UK's senior science press officer. He keeps the News section of the site up to date.
Jennie Fergusson
Section Editor (Public Affairs)Jennie works in the Charity's Policy and Public Affairs department. She edits the Public Policy section of News & Resources, making sure that our latest views on political, health and cancer issues are online.
Josephine Querido
Section Editor (Youth and Schools)Josephine manages the Youth & Schools section. She has a background in science communication, writing and editing a wide range of material, and also has experience in the educational sector.

The information on this site is largely compiled by staff in the Policy and Communication Directorate at Cancer Research UK. Much of the information has been adapted from already established paper resources.
