Prizes

SciencePod competition prizes

First prize is a digital camcorder and the second prize is an mp3 player, kindly donated by our corporate partners, Samsung.

Judges

Our panel of judges are:

SciencePod judges - Scott Mills, Alok Jha and Kat Arney

Left to right: Scott Mills, DJ and pioneer podcaster for Radio 1; Alok Jha, the Guardian's science correspondent and host of their Science Weekly podcast and Kat Arney, who presents the Cancer Research UK podcast

What the judges are looking for:

IMPORTANT: Don’t worry if you’re not an expert at the technical side of podcasting. The judges are looking for good content, rather than technical wizardry, but your entry must be audible.

The competition is open to GCSE students and links to several aspects of the Science, English and Citizenship curricula.

*This event will be part of National Science and Engineering Week, which is coordinated by the BA (British Association for the Advancement of Science). The BA aims to promote openness about science in society and to engage and inspire people.
